Refund and Returns Policy
Configra NZ Limited, trading as “Configra Parts” (“we“, “us“, “our“), wants you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can return goods and receive a refund, exchange or replacement.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Trade. Where you hold a trade account and purchase for business purposes, the returns provisions of our Terms of Trade also apply.
Last updated: August 25 2026
1. Your rights for faulty or misdescribed goods
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply and cannot lawfully be excluded.
If goods are faulty, not of acceptable quality, not fit for a purpose you told us about, or do not match their description, you are entitled to a remedy in line with those rights – regardless of the “change of mind” rules below. See clauses 5 and 6.
Note: Where you acquire goods for business purposes and hold a trade account, the Consumer Guarantees Act may not apply, as set out in our Terms of Trade.
2. Change of mind – stocked parts
We’re happy to accept returns of stocked (in-stock) parts if you change your mind, provided that:
- you request the return within 7 days of delivery;
- the item is unused, in as-new condition, and in its original, undamaged packaging with all accessories, manuals and seals intact;
- the item is not excluded under clause 4; and
- you can provide proof of purchase.
For change-of-mind returns of stocked parts, we do not charge a restocking fee.
You are responsible for returning the item to us (see clause 3), and:
- return courier costs are at your expense; and
- the original shipping/courier charge is not refunded.
3. Change of mind – ordered or special-order parts
Parts that we order in specifically for you (special-order, custom-configured, or non-stocked items) cannot be returned for change of mind. These are ordered to meet your specific request and cannot be returned to our suppliers.
The only exception is where we supply an incorrect part – see clause 5.
4. Items that cannot be returned for change of mind
For health, safety, licensing or practical reasons, the following cannot be returned for change of mind (this does not affect your rights for faulty goods under clause 1):
- special-order, custom-configured and non-stocked parts (clause 3);
- consumables and items where the seal has been broken (for example, thermal paste, cables that have been opened where noted);
- software, licence keys and digital products once activated or supplied;
- clearance, “as-is” or ex-display items sold on that basis; and
- items that have been used, installed, modified, or damaged after delivery.
5. If we supply an incorrect part
If we send you the wrong part – one that does not match what you ordered – that’s our error and we’ll put it right. Where we have supplied an incorrect part:
- we will arrange and pay for the return of the incorrect item;
- we will supply the correct item, or provide a full refund (including the original shipping cost) if you prefer; and
- there is no cost to you.
Please contact us promptly (see clause 8) so we can arrange this.
6. Faulty or defective goods
If goods develop a fault or are defective:
- contact us with your proof of purchase and a description of the fault;
- we may need to inspect or test the item, or refer it to the manufacturer under the manufacturer’s warranty process; and
- where the goods are faulty, we will repair, replace or refund in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act (where it applies) or the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.
Manufacturer warranties are provided on the manufacturer’s terms. We will pass on and help you access the benefit of any manufacturer warranty.
Back up your data. Before returning any device or storage part for return, repair or warranty service, please back up your data. We are not responsible for any loss of data, software or configuration, and items returned for service may be reset to factory condition.
7. Condition of returned goods
Returned items must be adequately packaged to prevent damage in transit. We recommend using a tracked courier and retaining proof of postage, as you are responsible for the item until it reaches us. We may decline a return, or reduce a refund, where an item is returned used, damaged, incomplete, or not in a resaleable condition (except where the item is faulty or was incorrectly supplied).
8. How to make a return
- Contact us first at info@configraparts.co.nz with your order number, the item, and the reason for return. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.
- We’ll confirm whether the item is eligible and give you return instructions (and, where clause 5 applies, arrange return at our cost).
- Return the item as instructed, including your proof of purchase.
9. Refunds
- Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we’ll let you know whether your refund is approved.
- Approved refunds are made to your original payment method, or by another agreed method, within 10 working days of approval.
- For change-of-mind returns, the refund is for the price of the returned goods only – original shipping/courier charges are not refunded, and return courier costs are at your expense.
- Where we supplied an incorrect part or the goods are faulty, any refund includes the relevant shipping costs as set out in clauses 5 and 6.
