Brand Non-Affiliation Disclaimer
& Parallel Import Notice

Configra NZ Limited, trading as “Configra Parts” (“we“, “us“, “our“), is an independent importer and supplier of laptop, computer and technology parts. This notice explains our relationship with the brands we stock and what you should know about warranties on the products we supply.

Please read this alongside our Returns Policy and Terms of Trade.

1. We are an independent supplier

We source and independently import genuine parts and products through our global supplier network. We are not an authorised reseller, distributor, agent, or service provider in New Zealand for any of the brands we stock.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with any of the manufacturers or brand owners whose products we supply. Any reference we make to a brand is for the sole purpose of identifying and describing the genuine products we sell.

2. Brands and trademarks

We supply parts and products compatible with, or manufactured for, a wide range of brands, including (but not limited to):

  • HP
  • Lenovo
  • Acer
  • Asus
  • MSI
  • Toshiba
  • Dynabook
  • Sony VAIO

All brand names, trademarks, logos and model names are the property of their respective owners. They are used on our website and in our listings only to identify the genuine products they relate to, and their use does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, the trademark owner.

Where a product is described as “compatible” or “replacement,” it is an aftermarket or third-party item designed to work with the referenced brand or model, and is not necessarily made by that brand.

3. Genuine products

Where we describe a product as genuine or original, it is a genuine manufacturer product that we have imported through international supply channels (often referred to as “parallel importing”). Parallel importing of genuine goods is lawful in New Zealand.

4. Warranty – important information

Because we import independently rather than through a brand’s authorised New Zealand channel, you should be aware:

4.1 Manufacturer (local) warranty may not apply. Some manufacturers limit their New Zealand warranty service to products sold through their authorised local distributors. As a result, a manufacturer may decline to provide local warranty service for a product we supply, or may require the warranty to be handled internationally.

4.2 We stand behind what we sell. Where a manufacturer warranty is available, we will pass on and help you access its benefit. In addition, warranty and faults on products we supply are handled by us in accordance with our Returns Policy. Please contact us first with any warranty or fault issue.

4.3 Your Consumer Guarantees Act rights are not affected. If you purchase as a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 that apply to us as the supplier and cannot be excluded, regardless of the manufacturer’s warranty position. If goods are faulty, not of acceptable quality, or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy from us under those Acts. (Where you purchase for business purposes, the position set out in our Terms of Trade applies.)

5. Compatibility

We provide compatibility and specification information in good faith to help you choose the right part. Because systems and configurations vary, please check that a part suits your specific device before purchasing, and contact us if you are unsure. This does not limit your rights under clause 4.3.

6. Questions

If you have any questions about a product’s origin, warranty, or compatibility, please contact us before you buy:
